Job Title: Computer Hardware Specialist

Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Computer Hardware Specialist to join our team. As a Computer Hardware Specialist, you will be responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of all computer hardware within our organization. You will also be responsible for managing inventory, ordering new equipment, and ensuring that all hardware is up to date and functioning properly. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and a passion for technology.

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware issues, including desktops, laptops, servers, and peripherals
• Repair or replace defective hardware components as needed
• Perform routine maintenance on all hardware to ensure optimal performance
• Manage inventory of all hardware and order new equipment as needed
• Install and configure new hardware and software
• Collaborate with the IT team to develop and implement hardware upgrade plans
• Stay up to date with new hardware technology and make recommendations for improvements
• Conduct regular audits of hardware to identify potential issues and suggest solutions
• Provide technical support to end-users in a timely and efficient manner
• Document all hardware procedures and maintain accurate records of inventory and maintenance
• Train staff on proper use and care of hardware equipment

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role
• Strong knowledge of computer hardware, including desktops, laptops, servers, and peripherals
• Experience with troubleshooting and repairing hardware issues
• Familiarity with hardware management and inventory systems
• Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies
• Certifications in hardware and/or relevant software are a plus
