Key Responsibilities:

Conduct geological surveys and analyze data to identify potential oil and gas reserves
Utilize advanced software and tools to create 3D models of underground formations
Interpret geological data and analyze the structure, composition, and properties of rock formations
Evaluate reservoir potential and determine the most suitable drilling locations
Collaborate with other geologists, engineers, and technicians to develop drilling plans and strategies
Monitor drilling operations and provide guidance on technical issues
Conduct ongoing research and stay updated on industry trends and advancements
Prepare reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders
Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and environmental standards
Mentor and train junior geologists as needed

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Geology or related field; Master's degree preferred
Minimum of 5 years of experience in petroleum geology
Strong knowledge of geological software and tools such as Petrel, GeoGraphix, and Kingdom
Proficient in creating 3D models and interpreting geological data
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Strong communication and presentation skills
Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy
Willingness to travel to various drilling sites as needed
