Key Responsibilities:

Conduct geological surveys and analyses to identify potential oil and gas reserves
Utilize geological mapping techniques to identify subsurface structures and formations
Collect and analyze data including well logs, seismic data, and geological maps to evaluate and characterize potential reserves
Use advanced software and tools to create 2D and 3D models of geological structures
Conduct field studies and site visits to gather data and collect samples
Interpret data and create reports to communicate findings and recommendations to management and stakeholders
Collaborate with engineers, geophysicists, and other professionals to develop drilling plans and strategies
Monitor and evaluate drilling operations to ensure they align with geological predictions
Conduct risk assessments and develop contingency plans to mitigate potential hazards
Stay up-to-date with industry developments and advancements in geological technology and techniques
Mentor and train junior geologists and provide guidance and support as needed

Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Geology or a related field
Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Petroleum Geologist
Strong understanding of geological concepts and principles
Proficient in geological mapping and data analysis
Experience using software and tools such as Petra, Petrel, and ArcGIS
In-depth knowledge of drilling operations and procedures
Excellent project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
Team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Willingness to travel for field work and site visits
