Key Responsibilities:

Provide exceptional customer service by greeting and assisting customers in a friendly and professional manner.
Utilize your extensive knowledge of wines and spirits to guide customers in their purchases and make recommendations based on their preferences.
Keep up-to-date with industry trends, new products, and promotions, and share this knowledge with customers.
Conduct wine and spirits tastings and events to promote products and enhance customer experience.
Maintain a well-organized and visually appealing wine and spirits department, including stocking shelves, rotating products, and ensuring accurate pricing and labeling.
Monitor inventory levels and place orders to ensure adequate stock and avoid shortages.
Collaborate with the purchasing team to identify new, high-quality products that align with our company’s standards.
Stay informed about local, state, and federal regulations regarding the sale of alcohol and ensure compliance at all times.
Train and educate other team members on wine and spirits knowledge and best practices.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in hospitality, business, or a related field.
At least 3 years of experience in the wine and spirits industry, with a strong understanding of different types of wines and spirits, grape varieties, and production methods.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with customers of all levels and backgrounds.
Proven track record of providing exceptional customer service and building lasting relationships with customers.
Strong sales and negotiation skills, with the ability to upsell and meet sales targets.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Must be at least 21 years of age and possess a valid alcohol server license.
Passion for the wine and spirits industry and a desire to continuously learn and grow in the field.
