Job Description: Roadway Logistics Transport is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Route Planner to join our team. As a Route Planner, you will be responsible for optimizing the delivery routes of our fleet, ensuring timely and efficient deliveries to our clients. You will work closely with our transportation team to coordinate the movement of goods and materials, while also maintaining a high level of customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement efficient delivery routes for our fleet of vehicles, considering factors such as traffic patterns, road closures, and delivery deadlines.
• Utilize route planning software to optimize delivery routes and reduce travel time and fuel costs.
• Collaborate with the transportation team to ensure that all deliveries are scheduled and communicated effectively to drivers.
• Monitor the progress of deliveries and make adjustments to routes as needed to ensure timely and efficient deliveries.
• Communicate with drivers to provide instructions and updates on route changes or delays.
• Maintain accurate records of route planning, including delivery times, mileage, and fuel consumption.
• Analyze data to identify areas for route optimization and make recommendations for improvement.
• Work closely with the customer service team to address any delivery issues or concerns from clients.
• Stay up-to-date with local traffic laws and regulations to ensure compliance while planning routes.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in transportation or logistics, with a focus on route planning.
• Proficient in route planning software and tools.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make strategic decisions.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
