Position: Wireless Network Engineer

Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Wireless Network Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a Wireless Network Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining wireless networks to ensure optimal performance and reliability. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to support and enhance existing wireless infrastructure and implement new technologies to meet business needs. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in wireless networking, excellent problem-solving skills, and a passion for staying up-to-date with the latest wireless technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain wireless networks, including access points, controllers, and other related equipment.
• Perform wireless site surveys and analyze the results to determine optimal placement and coverage.
• Configure and troubleshoot wireless network components, including routers, switches, firewalls, and access points.
• Monitor wireless network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure maximum uptime and availability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement wireless solutions that support business objectives.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in wireless technology to make recommendations for network enhancements and upgrades.
• Participate in change management processes and maintain network documentation.
• Provide technical support and assistance to end-users and other IT teams.
• Conduct network audits to identify potential security vulnerabilities and implement solutions to mitigate risks.
• Work with vendors and service providers to resolve network issues and implement new technologies.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in wireless networking.
• Strong knowledge of wireless networking protocols, including 802.11a/b/g/n/ac.
• Experience with wireless network design and implementation, including access points, controllers, and other related equipment.
• Familiarity with network security protocols, such as WPA2, 802.1X, and RADIUS.
• Proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting network equipment, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
• Experience with network monitoring tools, such as SolarWinds or PRTG.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex network issues.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Industry certifications, such as CWNP, CCNA Wireless, or CCNP Wireless, are preferred.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
