Key Responsibilities:

Advise students on academic programs, course selection, and career planning based on their interests, abilities, and goals.
Monitor and track students' academic progress and provide necessary interventions to ensure their success.
Conduct one-on-one advising sessions with students to discuss academic challenges, provide solutions, and develop action plans.
Collaborate with faculty and staff to assist students in selecting courses, resolving issues, and developing academic success strategies.
Stay updated on the institution's policies, procedures, and academic requirements to provide accurate and timely information to students.
Organize and facilitate academic workshops, seminars, and events to educate students on various academic topics.
Develop and maintain relationships with students to foster a supportive and positive learning environment.
Assist with the recruitment and orientation of new students, providing them with information and resources to ensure a smooth transition into the institution.
Provide support and resources for special populations, such as international students, first-generation students, and students with disabilities.
Utilize technology and data to track student progress, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions to improve academic advising services.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Education, Counseling, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in academic advising or a related field.
Knowledge of academic advising principles, techniques, and best practices.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and effectively communicate with students, faculty, and staff.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and in a team setting.
Proficiency in using technology and data to track and analyze student progress.
Understanding of diverse student populations and the ability to provide culturally competent advising.
Passion for education and helping students achieve their academic and career goals.
