Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Academic Advisor to join our team. As an Academic Advisor, you will play a crucial role in guiding and supporting students through their academic journey. You will be responsible for providing academic counseling, developing academic plans, and assisting students in achieving their educational goals. Key Responsibilities:

• Provide academic counseling to students, including course selection, program requirements, and academic progress monitoring.
• Assist students in developing academic plans that align with their personal and career goals.
• Monitor and track students' academic progress, identifying any potential issues and providing support and guidance to help them overcome challenges.
• Guide students in understanding degree requirements, academic policies, and procedures.
• Collaborate with faculty and other academic advisors to ensure students are on track to meet graduation requirements.
• Stay up-to-date with university policies, degree programs, and course offerings to provide accurate and relevant information to students.
• Conduct workshops and seminars to educate students on academic success strategies and resources available.
• Maintain accurate and organized student records and documentation of all advising sessions.
• Assist with new student orientation and enrollment processes.
• Serve as a liaison between students and other university departments to facilitate a smooth academic experience.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in education, counseling, or related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in academic advising or counseling.
• Strong understanding of academic policies, procedures, and degree requirements.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and student information systems.
