Position: Electrical Power Systems Analyst

Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Power Systems Analyst to join our team. As an Electrical Power Systems Analyst, you will play a crucial role in analyzing and designing electrical power systems for our company. You will be responsible for providing technical expertise and support in the development, implementation, and maintenance of various power systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering and a deep understanding of power systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct in-depth analysis of existing power systems and identify areas for improvement
• Develop and implement new power system designs to meet the company's growing needs
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineers, technicians, and project managers to ensure successful implementation of power systems
• Perform detailed calculations and simulations to determine the optimal design and configuration of power systems
• Monitor and analyze the performance of existing power systems and recommend solutions for any issues or inefficiencies
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in power systems to continuously improve our systems
• Create and maintain technical documentation, including system specifications, diagrams, and reports
• Participate in the planning and execution of maintenance and troubleshooting activities for power systems
• Conduct risk assessments and develop contingency plans to ensure the safety and reliability of power systems
• Provide technical support and guidance to junior team members and other departments as needed

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in power systems analysis and design
• Extensive knowledge of power system engineering principles, including electrical circuits, transformers, generators, and switchgear
• Proficiency in power system analysis software such as ETAP or SKM
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Proven track record of successfully completing complex projects on time and within budget
• Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects simultaneously
• Understanding of safety standards and regulations related to power systems
• Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred but not required
