Job Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Development Director to lead our organization's fundraising efforts. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in non-profit fundraising, excellent communication and leadership skills, and a passion for making a difference in the world. As the Development Director, you will be responsible for creating and implementing fundraising strategies, cultivating relationships with donors, and overseeing all fundraising initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy that aligns with the organization's goals and objectives
• Identify and cultivate relationships with potential donors, including individuals, corporations, and foundations
• Create and manage a donor database, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records of all donors and their contributions
• Plan and execute fundraising events, including galas, auctions, and other special events
• Collaborate with the marketing and communications team to develop fundraising materials, including appeals, newsletters, and annual reports
• Manage grant applications and reporting processes, ensuring timely submission and compliance with all requirements
• Provide regular updates and reports to the Board of Directors and other stakeholders on fundraising progress and strategies
• Develop and maintain relationships with community leaders, government officials, and other key stakeholders to increase awareness and support for the organization
• Manage and mentor a team of fundraising professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure the success of all fundraising efforts
• Stay informed about current trends and best practices in non-profit fundraising, and make recommendations for improvement and growth of the organization's fundraising efforts

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in non-profit management, business, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in non-profit fundraising, with a proven track record of success
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with a diverse group of stakeholders
• Knowledge of fundraising strategies, techniques, and best practices
• Experience with donor database management and grant writing
• Passion for the organization's mission and a commitment to making a positive impact in the community
