Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Packaging Materials Manager to join our team. As a Packaging Materials Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, sourcing, and procurement of all packaging materials used in our company's products. This role requires strong leadership, organizational, and analytical skills, as well as a thorough understanding of packaging materials and supply chain management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement packaging material sourcing strategies to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product development, marketing, and production, to determine packaging material requirements and specifications.
• Source and evaluate potential packaging material suppliers, negotiate contracts, and maintain relationships with existing vendors.
• Monitor market trends and prices of packaging materials to identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Manage inventory levels to ensure adequate supply and minimize waste.
• Oversee quality control of packaging materials to ensure compliance with company standards.
• Develop and manage budgets for packaging material procurement.
• Continuously evaluate and improve processes for packaging material procurement, storage, and distribution.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards for packaging materials.
• Train and supervise a team of packaging material specialists.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in packaging material procurement, preferably in a managerial role.
• Strong knowledge of packaging materials and their properties.
• Proficient in supply chain management software and tools.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work with numerical data.
• Leadership and team management experience.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements for packaging materials is a plus.
