Job Title: Transportation Engineer

Overview: We are seeking a highly-skilled and experienced Transportation Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a Transportation Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, planning, and managing transportation systems and infrastructure. Your expertise in traffic engineering, public transportation, and highway design will be crucial in ensuring the safe and efficient movement of people and goods.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and manage transportation projects, including planning, design, and construction phases
• Conduct traffic studies and analyze data to identify areas for improvement and propose solutions
• Design transportation infrastructure such as roads, highways, bridges, and intersections
• Utilize software programs such as AutoCAD and MicroStation to create detailed plans and drawings
• Collaborate with various stakeholders, including government agencies, contractors, and other engineers
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and codes
• Provide recommendations for cost-effective and sustainable transportation solutions
• Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor progress and identify any issues that may arise

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in transportation engineering
• Professional Engineering (PE) license preferred
• Strong knowledge of traffic engineering principles and methodologies
• Proficiency in using design software such as AutoCAD and MicroStation
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Attention to detail and strong project management skills
