Job Title: Civil Engineering Design Manager

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Civil Engineering Design Manager to join our dynamic team. As a Civil Engineering Design Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the design process for various civil engineering projects. You will work closely with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure the successful completion of projects within budget and on schedule. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering design, project management, and team leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and lead a team of engineers and designers in the development of civil engineering design plans and specifications for various projects.
• Oversee the design process from conception to completion, ensuring that all designs meet project requirements, codes, and standards.
• Collaborate with project managers, clients, and other stakeholders to define project scope, goals, and deliverables.
• Develop and maintain project schedules and budgets, ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget constraints.
• Conduct site visits and attend meetings with project teams and clients to review project progress and address any design issues or concerns.
• Review and approve design plans, calculations, and reports prepared by team members.
• Mentor and train junior engineers and designers, providing guidance and support to help them develop their skills and advance their careers.
• Keep up-to-date with industry trends, codes, and regulations to ensure that all designs are compliant and incorporate the latest techniques and technologies.
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and productivity within the design team.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in civil engineering design, with at least 3 years in a leadership or management role.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
• Strong knowledge of civil engineering design principles, codes, and standards.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other design software.
• Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and clients.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
