Position: Storyboard Artist

Location: Matagalpa, Nicaragua

Employment Type: Contract

Job Description: We are seeking a talented and experienced Storyboard Artist to join our team. As a Storyboard Artist, you will be responsible for creating storyboards for various projects including animated films, television shows, commercials, and video games. Your main role will be to visually translate the script or concept into a series of sequential drawings, which will serve as a guide for the animators and directors.

Responsibilities:

• Work closely with the director and other members of the creative team to understand the vision and style of the project
• Read and analyze scripts or concepts to create a visual representation of the story
• Create rough sketches and storyboards that effectively convey the story, mood, and pacing of the project
• Refine and revise storyboards based on feedback and direction from the director and other team members
• Collaborate with the animation team to ensure that the storyboards are translated accurately into the final product
• Attend storyboard reviews and provide input and suggestions for improvement
• Meet tight deadlines and work efficiently to ensure project timelines are met
• Keep up-to-date with industry trends and techniques to continuously improve your skills and deliver high-quality storyboards

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts, Animation, or related field
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a storyboard artist in the entertainment industry
• Strong drawing and storytelling skills
• Proficient in using storyboarding software such as Storyboard Pro, Toon Boom, or Adobe Animate
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing project needs
• Strong understanding of cinematography, composition, and visual storytelling
• Passion for animation and storytelling
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow direction and feedback
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Willingness to learn and take on new challenges
