Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement advocacy programs that align with the company's mission and goals
Identify key issues and initiatives that require advocacy efforts and create strategies to address them
Conduct research and gather data to support advocacy efforts and inform decision making
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop advocacy messaging and materials
Cultivate relationships with key stakeholders, including government officials, community leaders, and partner organizations
Plan and execute advocacy events, such as rallies, forums, and lobby days
Train and engage volunteers and advocates to participate in advocacy efforts
Monitor and analyze legislative and policy developments that impact our industry and communicate updates to internal and external stakeholders
Develop and manage budgets for advocacy programs and initiatives
Measure and report on the impact of advocacy efforts and make recommendations for improvement
Act as a spokesperson for the company on advocacy issues and represent the company at external events and meetings
Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices related to advocacy programs and initiatives

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in political science, public policy, or related field
Minimum of 5 years of experience in advocacy, community organizing, or related field
Strong understanding of the legislative and policymaking process
Excellent communication, public speaking, and interpersonal skills
Experience managing and coordinating teams and volunteers
Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment
Strong project management and organizational skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with advocacy software and tools

Willingness to travel as needed
