Job Title: Cinematographer

Position Overview: We are seeking a talented and experienced Cinematographer to join our team. As a Cinematographer, you will be responsible for creating aesthetically pleasing and visually impactful images for film, television, and other media projects. You will work closely with the director and other crew members to bring their vision to life through the art of cinematography. The ideal candidate will have a strong eye for detail, a deep understanding of lighting and camera techniques, and a passion for storytelling through visuals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the director to understand the creative vision for the project and develop a visual plan to achieve it
• Select and set up appropriate camera, lenses, filters, and lighting equipment for each scene
• Operate the camera during filming, making adjustments as needed to achieve the desired look
• Work closely with the director of photography and other crew members to set up shots and angles
• Ensure the framing, composition, and movement of the camera are in line with the director's vision
• Continuously monitor and adjust lighting levels to maintain consistency and enhance the mood of the scene
• Manage the camera crew and direct camera assistants, ensuring all equipment is properly set up and functioning
• Oversee the storage and organization of all footage and ensure it is backed up for future use
• Keep up to date with the latest camera and lighting technology and techniques, and make recommendations for improvements on set
• Collaborate with the post-production team to provide input on color grading and other visual effects
• Adhere to production timelines and budget constraints while maintaining high-quality work

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Film, Media, or a related field
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a cinematographer, with a strong portfolio of work
• Proficient in operating a variety of cameras and lighting equipment
• Excellent knowledge of composition, framing, lighting, and camera movements
• Strong understanding of color theory and its impact on storytelling
• Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to changing circumstances on set
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with a diverse team
• Attention to detail and a strong sense of aesthetics
• Experience working on a variety of projects, including film, television, commercials, and music videos
• Knowledge of post-production processes and software such as Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere, and DaVinci Resolve
• Willingness to travel and work long and irregular hours, including nights and weekends, as needed
