Position Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Veterinarian Assistant to join our team. As a Veterinarian Assistant, you will work closely with our veterinarians to provide top-notch care to our furry patients. Key Responsibilities:

• Assist veterinarians in performing medical procedures, surgeries, and examinations on animals.
• Administer medications and treatments as directed by veterinarians.
• Prepare and maintain medical equipment, instruments, and supplies.
• Monitor and record vital signs of animals before, during, and after procedures.
• Provide basic grooming services such as bathing, nail trimming, and ear cleaning.
• Assist with restraint of animals during procedures and examinations.
• Educate owners on post-procedure care and medication administration for their pets.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for animals and staff.
• Perform routine laboratory tests and assist with diagnostics.
• Keep accurate and detailed records of patient care and treatment.
• Assist with administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and answering phone calls.
• Participate in continuing education and training to stay updated on the latest veterinary techniques and procedures.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience working in a veterinary setting preferred.
• Knowledge of animal behavior, health, and nutrition.
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to lift and restrain animals of various sizes.
• Basic computer skills and proficiency in electronic medical records.
• Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed.
