Job Title: Woodworker

Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled Woodworker to join our team and contribute to the production of high-quality wood products. As a Woodworker, you will be responsible for crafting and assembling various wood pieces using a variety of tools and techniques. The ideal candidate will have a passion for woodworking and possess the necessary skills and experience to create beautiful and functional products.

Key Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine materials needed and specific production methods
• Measure, mark, and cut wood pieces to the required size and shape using hand or power tools such as saws, routers, and sanders
• Operate woodworking machinery and equipment to shape, trim, and smooth wood pieces
• Assemble wood pieces using various techniques such as nailing, gluing, and doweling
• Sand and finish completed wood products to achieve a smooth and polished surface
• Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy, making any necessary adjustments
• Maintain and clean woodworking tools and equipment to ensure they are in good working condition
• Collaborate with other team members and follow instructions from supervisors to ensure efficient and timely completion of projects
• Keep accurate records of materials used and completed projects
• Continuously improve skills and stay up-to-date with new techniques and tools in the woodworking industry

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational training in woodworking or related field preferred
• Proven experience as a Woodworker or similar role
• Strong knowledge of woodworking tools and equipment and ability to use them safely and efficiently
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
• Attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality work
• Good physical dexterity and stamina to perform repetitive tasks and lift heavy materials
• Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
• Good time-management skills and ability to work independently or in a team setting
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot issues that may arise during the production process
• Basic math skills and ability to accurately measure and cut wood pieces to specific dimensions
• Good communication and interpersonal skills

Working Conditions: This position requires working in a well-ventilated workshop environment. The Woodworker may be exposed to loud noises, sawdust, and other woodworking materials. Personal protective equipment will be provided and must be worn at all times.
