Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Storage Design Lead to join our dynamic and innovative team. As the Data Storage Design Lead, you will be responsible for developing and implementing data storage solutions that meet the needs of our organization. You will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining the data storage infrastructure that supports our business operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement data storage solutions that align with the organization's overall goals and objectives.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand their data storage needs and provide solutions that meet their specific requirements.
• Design and implement data storage architectures that are scalable, reliable, and secure.
• Develop and maintain data storage policies and procedures to ensure data integrity and security.
• Evaluate and recommend new data storage technologies and vendors to improve the organization's data storage capabilities.
• Collaborate with the IT team to ensure the data storage infrastructure is integrated with other systems and applications.
• Monitor and troubleshoot data storage systems to identify and resolve any issues or performance bottlenecks.
• Develop and maintain disaster recovery and backup plans to ensure the organization's data is protected.
• Keep up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in data storage technologies and make recommendations for their implementation.
• Manage and mentor a team of data storage engineers, providing guidance and support to ensure the successful delivery of projects.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in data storage design and implementation.
• Extensive knowledge of data storage technologies, including SAN, NAS, and object storage.
• Strong understanding of data storage protocols, such as NFS, CIFS, and iSCSI.
• Experience in designing and implementing data storage solutions in virtualized environments.
• In-depth knowledge of disaster recovery and backup strategies for data storage.
• Experience with cloud storage solutions, such as AWS S3 and Azure Blob Storage.
• Proven experience in managing and mentoring a team of engineers.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
