Position: Sustainability Outreach Specialist

Overview: We are seeking a passionate and experienced Sustainability Outreach Specialist to join our team. This individual will play a critical role in promoting and implementing sustainable practices within our organization and in the communities we serve. As a Sustainability Outreach Specialist, you will have the opportunity to use your knowledge and expertise to drive positive change and make a meaningful impact on the environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement sustainability initiatives and programs to reduce our organization's environmental impact and promote sustainable practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for improvement and implement sustainable solutions.
• Conduct research and stay updated on industry trends and best practices in sustainability.
• Create and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including community groups, environmental organizations, and government agencies, to promote sustainability initiatives and partnerships.
• Plan and coordinate outreach events to educate and engage the community on sustainability topics.
• Develop and deliver presentations and training sessions on sustainability practices for internal staff and external partners.
• Monitor and track progress of sustainability initiatives, and report on key metrics and accomplishments to management.
• Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency through sustainable practices and make recommendations to improve our organization's sustainability performance.
• Stay up-to-date on relevant laws and regulations related to sustainability and ensure our organization remains compliant.
• Collaborate with marketing and communications teams to develop messaging and materials that promote our sustainability efforts to internal and external audiences.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in environmental studies, sustainability, or a related field.
• At least 3-5 years of experience in sustainability, environmental consulting, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of sustainability principles and practices, including waste reduction, energy efficiency, and sustainable resource management.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
• Proven experience in project management and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to collect, analyze and interpret data to make informed decisions.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with sustainability reporting tools and software.
• Passion for sustainability and a strong commitment to making a positive impact on the environment.
