Job Title: Clothes Care Technician

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Clothes Care Technician to join our team. As a Clothes Care Technician, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care and maintenance for a variety of garments, ensuring they are properly cleaned, steamed, pressed, and repaired. The ideal candidate will have a passion for clothing care and a strong understanding of different fabrics and their care requirements. This individual must also possess excellent communication skills, as they will be working closely with clients to ensure their specific clothing needs are met.

Key Responsibilities:

• Inspect and assess garments for any stains, damages, or special care instructions
• Determine the appropriate cleaning method and products for each garment based on fabric, color, and type of stain
• Operate various cleaning equipment such as washing machines, dryers, steamers, and pressing machines
• Follow proper cleaning and care instructions to ensure the best results for each garment
• Pay close attention to detail while cleaning and pressing to avoid any damages or discoloration
• Perform minor repairs and alterations on garments such as sewing on buttons, hemming, and mending tears
• Maintain an organized and clean work area, including proper storage and labeling of garments
• Communicate with clients to confirm their specific clothing care preferences and address any concerns or issues
• Keep track of inventory and order necessary supplies to ensure the smooth operation of the clothing care process
• Stay up-to-date with new cleaning techniques and products to continuously improve the quality of services

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent, additional education in textile or clothing care is a plus
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in clothing care or a related field
• Extensive knowledge of fabrics, their care requirements, and different cleaning methods
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently
• Physical stamina to stand for long periods, lift and carry heavy loads, and perform repetitive tasks
• Knowledge of sewing and garment repair techniques is preferred
• Familiarity with safe handling and storage of cleaning chemicals and equipment
