Position: Estimator

Overview: We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Estimator to join our team. As an Estimator, you will play a critical role in the success of our company by accurately analyzing and estimating the costs associated with construction projects. This position requires a strong understanding of the construction industry, excellent mathematical skills, and the ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines. As an Estimator, you will work closely with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure that all estimates are accurate and completed in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze and interpret project plans, specifications, and other documents to accurately estimate costs.
• Conduct site visits to gather necessary information for estimating purposes.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to obtain accurate pricing for materials and labor.
• Utilize estimating software and spreadsheets to create detailed cost estimates.
• Prepare detailed quantity take-offs and cost breakdowns for each project.
• Identify potential cost savings and value engineering opportunities.
• Communicate with clients regarding project estimates and negotiate pricing when necessary.
• Maintain accurate and organized records of all estimates and related documents.
• Continuously monitor and update estimates throughout the bidding process.
• Participate in bid meetings and present estimates to clients.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Estimator in the construction industry.
• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and processes.
• Excellent mathematical and analytical skills.
• Proficient in using estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask and prioritize under tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to read and interpret project plans and specifications.
• Knowledge of local building codes and regulations.
• Proven track record of accurately estimating costs for construction projects.
