Position Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Harvest Crew Leader to join our team. As a Harvest Crew Leader, you will be responsible for leading a team of harvest crew members in the efficient and timely harvesting of crops. You will play a critical role in ensuring the highest quality and quantity of harvest by overseeing the daily operations of the harvest crew, managing schedules, and maintaining a safe working environment. The ideal candidate will have excellent leadership skills, a strong understanding of agricultural practices, and a passion for delivering exceptional results.

Responsibilities:

• Lead a team of harvest crew members in the efficient and timely harvesting of crops.
• Plan and coordinate daily harvest schedules to ensure maximum productivity.
• Train and mentor new crew members on proper harvesting techniques and safety protocols.
• Monitor crop quality and quantity to ensure the highest standards are met.
• Maintain accurate records of harvested crops and report any discrepancies to management.
• Ensure all equipment is properly maintained and in good working condition.
• Enforce safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment for all team members.
• Communicate effectively with management and other departments to coordinate harvesting activities.
• Oversee the loading and transportation of harvested crops to designated storage areas.
• Assist in the recruitment, hiring, and performance evaluation of harvest crew members.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; degree in agriculture or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in agricultural harvesting, with at least 1 year in a leadership role.
• Knowledge of harvesting techniques, equipment, and safety protocols.
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Proactive problem-solving abilities.
• Flexibility to work long hours and weekends during peak harvest season.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
