Farm Production Supervisor

Job Description: As a Farm Production Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of a farm and ensuring the efficient production of crops or livestock. You will work closely with farm workers, technicians, and other supervisors to ensure that production goals are met and quality standards are maintained.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and coordinate daily activities on the farm, including planting, harvesting, and caring for crops or livestock
• Monitor and maintain farm equipment and machinery, ensuring all tools are in good working condition
• Supervise and provide guidance to farm workers, delegating tasks and ensuring they are completed in a timely and efficient manner
• Monitor crop growth and health, identifying and addressing any issues that may arise
• Oversee the application of fertilizers, pesticides, and other chemicals as needed
• Maintain accurate records of production, expenses, and inventory levels
• Collaborate with other supervisors and farm managers to develop and implement production plans and strategies
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and protocols
• Train and mentor new farm workers and provide ongoing training for existing employees
• Manage and maintain relationships with vendors, suppliers, and contractors
• Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in farming techniques to continuously improve production processes

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in Agriculture or related field preferred
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in farm production or related field
• Strong knowledge of farming techniques, equipment, and machinery
• Proven supervisory and leadership skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities
• Knowledge of safety regulations and protocols related to farming operations
• Ability to adapt to changing situations and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
