Position: Textile Research and Development Engineer

Job Description: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Textile Research and Development Engineer to join our dynamic and innovative team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in textile engineering and a passion for developing cutting-edge textile products.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct in-depth research and analysis on existing and emerging textile materials, technologies, and processes.
• Design and develop new textile products that meet customer requirements and industry standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers, production engineers, and quality control specialists, to ensure the successful development of new textile products.
• Utilize various textile testing methods and equipment to evaluate the performance and quality of new and existing products.
• Identify and troubleshoot any issues or defects in the production process, and develop solutions to improve product quality and efficiency.
• Stay up-to-date on industry trends, advancements, and regulations related to textile manufacturing, and make recommendations for process improvements and cost-saving measures.
• Manage and maintain accurate records of all research and development activities, including product specifications, test results, and project timelines.
• Communicate and present findings, reports, and recommendations to management and other stakeholders.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Textile Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in textile research and development, preferably in the apparel or home goods industry.
• Strong knowledge of textile materials, properties, and manufacturing processes.
• Proficiency in textile testing methods and equipment.
• Experience with CAD software and 3D modeling is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong project management and time management skills.
• Effective communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
