Position: Materials Procurement Manager

Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Materials Procurement Manager to join our dynamic and growing organization. As the Materials Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the sourcing, purchasing, and delivery of all materials needed for our company's operations. This is a critical role that requires a strong understanding of procurement processes, excellent negotiation skills, and the ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in materials procurement and a strong understanding of supply chain management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure the timely and cost-effective delivery of materials
• Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, reliability, and price
• Negotiate contracts and pricing with suppliers to obtain the best possible terms and conditions
• Monitor and analyze market trends, pricing, and availability of materials
• Work closely with internal departments to understand their material needs and ensure timely delivery of materials to meet production schedules
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery and resolve any issues that may arise
• Implement and maintain inventory control processes to optimize inventory levels and minimize waste
• Monitor and report on key performance indicators related to procurement, such as cost savings, supplier performance, and inventory levels
• Stay up-to-date on industry trends and innovations in procurement to continuously improve processes and strategies

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in materials procurement, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment
• Strong negotiation and analytical skills
• Proven experience in developing and implementing procurement strategies
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• In-depth knowledge of supply chain management and inventory control processes
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and procurement software
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Willingness to travel as needed
