Position Overview: We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Data Platforms Principal Manager to join our dynamic team. As the Data Platforms Principal Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the design, development, and management of our organization's data platforms. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that our data platforms are aligned with our business objectives and drive strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a comprehensive data platform strategy that supports our organization's goals and objectives.
• Lead the design, development, and implementation of data platforms, including data warehouses, data lakes, and data marts.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Oversee the integration of new data sources into our data platforms and ensure data quality and consistency.
• Develop and maintain data governance policies and procedures to ensure the security and integrity of our data.
• Monitor data platform performance and identify areas for improvement, making recommendations for enhancements and upgrades as needed.
• Lead a team of data engineers and analysts, providing guidance and mentorship to ensure the successful delivery of data platform projects.
• Stay current with industry trends and advancements in data management technologies, and make recommendations for their implementation.
• Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to understand their data needs and align data platforms accordingly.
• Collaborate with the IT team to manage data platform infrastructure and ensure data platform availability and reliability.
• Develop and maintain documentation for data platforms, including data dictionaries and data lineage.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in data management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Proven experience in designing and implementing data platforms, including data warehouses and data lakes.
• Strong understanding of data management and data governance principles and best practices.
• In-depth knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
• Experience with data modeling and ETL processes.
• Experience with cloud-based data platforms, such as AWS or Azure.
• Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
