Position: Curriculum Development Specialist

Overview: As a Curriculum Development Specialist, you will play a critical role in shaping the educational content and materials used by our organization. You will be responsible for creating, reviewing, and evaluating curriculum materials to ensure they are aligned with our educational goals and objectives. Working closely with a team of educators and subject matter experts, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the learning experience of our students.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop curriculum materials for various subjects and grade levels, including lesson plans, activities, assessments, and other instructional resources.
• Collaborate with teachers, curriculum coordinators, and other stakeholders to ensure that curriculum materials meet the needs and standards of our organization.
• Conduct research and stay up-to-date with the latest educational trends and best practices to inform curriculum development.
• Review and evaluate existing curriculum materials to identify areas for improvement and make recommendations for revisions and updates.
• Utilize various instructional methods and technologies to enhance the delivery and effectiveness of curriculum materials.
• Conduct training and professional development sessions for teachers and staff on the use of new curriculum materials and resources.
• Monitor and track the implementation of curriculum materials to ensure they are being used effectively and making a positive impact on student learning.
• Collect and analyze data to evaluate the effectiveness of curriculum materials and make data-driven decisions for future development.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that curriculum materials are culturally responsive, inclusive, and representative of diverse perspectives.
• Maintain accurate and organized records of curriculum materials, revisions, and updates.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in education, curriculum and instruction, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in curriculum development, preferably in an educational setting.
• Strong knowledge of instructional design principles and curriculum development processes.
• Familiarity with current trends and best practices in education, including standards-based instruction, project-based learning, and differentiated instruction.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.
• Proficiency in using technology and educational software to create and deliver curriculum materials.
• Strong collaboration and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively with a diverse group of stakeholders.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
