Job Title: Civic Engagement Specialist

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and passionate Civic Engagement Specialist to join our team. As a Civic Engagement Specialist, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to promote civic engagement and community involvement. This role requires a deep understanding of community issues, strong communication skills, and the ability to inspire and mobilize individuals to take action.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement strategies to increase civic engagement and community involvement.
• Collaborate with community leaders, organizations, and stakeholders to identify and address key issues.
• Plan and execute events, campaigns, and initiatives to raise awareness and promote civic engagement.
• Create engaging content for social media and other communication platforms to inform and engage the community.
• Coordinate and facilitate meetings, workshops, and forums to facilitate dialogue and gather feedback from community members.
• Build and maintain relationships with community partners, volunteers, and stakeholders to foster collaboration and support for civic engagement initiatives.
• Conduct research and analyze data to identify trends, needs, and opportunities for community involvement.
• Prepare reports and presentations to communicate the impact and progress of civic engagement initiatives.
• Stay updated on current events and community issues to inform the development of strategies and initiatives.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of civic engagement programs and make recommendations for improvements.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Political Science, Community Development, Social Work, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in community organizing, civic engagement, or a related role.
• Strong understanding of community issues and the political landscape.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Proven experience in project management and event planning.
• Proficient in social media and other communication platforms.
• Strong research and analytical skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
• Passion for civic engagement and making a positive impact in the community.
