Position: Fashion Design Instructor

Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Fashion Design Instructor to join our dynamic team. As a Fashion Design Instructor, you will be responsible for designing and delivering engaging and interactive fashion design courses to students of all levels.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver comprehensive fashion design courses that cover a range of topics including fashion illustration, garment construction, and trend analysis.
• Utilize a variety of teaching methods, such as lectures, group discussions, and hands-on activities, to engage and motivate students.
• Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages creativity and experimentation.
• Provide constructive feedback and guidance to students to help them improve their design skills.
• Stay updated on the latest fashion trends, techniques, and technologies to ensure course material is relevant and up-to-date.
• Collaborate with other instructors to develop new courses and improve existing ones.
• Mentor and support students in their development as fashion designers.
• Assist with the organization of fashion shows and exhibitions to showcase student work.
• Assess student performance through assignments, projects, and exams.
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and progress.
• Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to curriculum development.
• Foster relationships with industry professionals to provide students with real-world learning opportunities.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of students during class time.
• Adhere to all policies and procedures of the institution.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Fashion Design or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a fashion designer or instructor.
• Strong knowledge of fashion design principles, techniques, and industry trends.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to effectively teach and engage students with varying learning styles.
• Proficient in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Passion for teaching and mentoring aspiring fashion designers.
• A portfolio of original fashion designs.
