Overview: We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Professor of Education to join our esteemed institution. As a Professor of Education, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of education by imparting knowledge and skills to the next generation of educators. You will have the opportunity to not only educate and mentor students but also conduct research and contribute to the academic community.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and teach courses in education at the undergraduate and graduate levels, including but not limited to educational theories, instructional strategies, and curriculum development
• Engage in scholarly activities such as research, publication, and conference presentations in the field of education
• Provide academic guidance and mentorship to students, including advising on coursework, research projects, and career development
• Supervise student teachers and participate in the evaluation of their performance
• Collaborate with other faculty members to develop and review curriculum, as well as ensure alignment with industry standards and best practices
• Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the development and implementation of departmental initiatives and policies
• Serve on departmental and university committees to contribute to the overall academic community and governance
• Maintain an active presence in the academic community by attending conferences, workshops, and other professional development opportunities

Qualifications:

• PhD in Education or a related field from an accredited institution
• Minimum of 5 years of teaching experience at the post-secondary level
• Demonstrated record of scholarly activities, including publications and conference presentations
• Proficient in instructional technology and able to integrate it into teaching and research
• Experience in curriculum development and evaluation is preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong commitment to student success
• Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to a positive and inclusive work environment
