Position: Network Security Specialist

Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled Network Security Specialist to join our dynamic and growing team. As a Network Security Specialist, you will play a crucial role in protecting our company's network and information systems from cyber threats and attacks. You will be responsible for implementing and maintaining security measures to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our network resources.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement network security policies and procedures to safeguard our network infrastructure and data.
• Monitor network traffic for any suspicious activity and perform regular vulnerability assessments.
• Configure and manage firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and other network security tools.
• Conduct regular security audits and ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards.
• Investigate and respond to security incidents, including conducting forensic analysis and reporting.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement security measures and provide technical support for security-related issues.
• Stay updated on emerging security threats and vulnerabilities, and proactively recommend solutions to mitigate risks.
• Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans to ensure the resilience of our network.
• Conduct security awareness training for employees and promote a security-conscious culture within the organization.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in network security, preferably in a corporate environment.
• Strong knowledge of network protocols, routing, and switching.
• Hands-on experience with network security tools such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and vulnerability scanners.
• Familiarity with industry standards and regulations such as ISO 27001, PCI DSS, and GDPR.
• Experience with security incident response and forensic analysis.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CEH are a plus.
