Key Responsibilities:

Conduct thorough inspections of incoming and outgoing textiles to identify any damages, stains, or defects.
Develop and implement cleaning and maintenance protocols for different types of fabrics, taking into consideration factors such as material, color, and texture.
Train and educate employees on proper handling and care of textiles to ensure consistency in quality and longevity.
Advise and assist customers on the best practices for caring for their textiles, including recommending appropriate cleaning products and techniques.
Stay up-to-date with industry advancements, trends, and developments in textile care to continuously improve our processes and techniques.
Collaborate with suppliers and manufacturers to source high-quality and sustainable fabrics that are easy to maintain.
Maintain accurate records of all textiles received, cleaned, and returned to ensure accountability and traceability.
Troubleshoot and resolve any issues or concerns related to textile care, including stains, discoloration, and damages.
Adhere to all safety and environmental regulations when handling and disposing of cleaning products and materials.
Participate in quality control inspections to ensure that all textiles meet our standards before being released to customers.
Identify opportunities for process and efficiency improvements to reduce costs and increase productivity.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Textile Science, Clothing and Textile, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in textile care, preferably in a retail or manufacturing setting.
In-depth knowledge of fabrics, including different types, properties, and care requirements.
Familiarity with cleaning agents, techniques, and equipment used in textile care.
Strong attention to detail and ability to identify and analyze fabric damages, stains, and defects.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively train and educate employees and interact with customers.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment, managing multiple tasks and priorities.
Proficiency in record-keeping and data entry.
Physical ability to lift and move heavy items and stand for extended periods.
Flexibility to work weekends and holidays if required.
