Job Overview: We are seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Wine & Spirits Specialist to join our team. As a specialist, you will be responsible for providing expert guidance and recommendations to our customers, as well as managing inventory and assisting with purchasing decisions. This role requires a deep understanding of wine and spirits, excellent communication skills, and a strong passion for the industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Customer Service: - Greet and engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Assist customers in finding the perfect wine or spirit based on their preferences and occasion.
• Provide expert recommendations and make suggestions for complementary products.
• Educate customers on the different varieties, origins, and production processes of wine and spirits.
• Handle customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints in a timely and professional manner.

Inventory Management:

• Monitor inventory levels and ensure products are well-stocked.
• Receive and process incoming shipments.
• Conduct regular stock checks and maintain accurate records.
• Ensure products are displayed in an attractive and organized manner.
• Collaborate with the purchasing team to manage inventory and assist with purchasing decisions.

Product Knowledge:

• Stay up-to-date on industry trends, new products, and emerging brands.
• Attend wine and spirits tastings, seminars, and events to expand and enhance your knowledge.
• Conduct research on new products and make recommendations for additions to the inventory.
• Train and educate other team members on wine and spirits products and best practices.

Sales and Marketing:

• Promote sales and special offers to customers.
• Assist with creating marketing materials and promotions.
• Participate in sales events and initiatives to increase revenue.
• Contribute to the development of marketing strategies and campaigns.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Food and Beverage, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the wine and spirits industry.
• Extensive knowledge of wine and spirits, including production processes, regions, and varieties.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Strong sales and marketing abilities.
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and point-of-sale systems.
