Position Title: Automotive Service Manager

Overview: We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Automotive Service Manager to join our team. As the Automotive Service Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our automotive service department. You will lead a team of service technicians and ensure that all service orders are completed in a timely and efficient manner while maintaining high-quality standards. This role requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication, and a deep understanding of the automotive industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the daily operations of the automotive service department, including scheduling, customer service, and workflow management
• Develop and maintain relationships with customers to promote repeat business and increase customer satisfaction
• Supervise a team of service technicians, providing guidance, training, and support when needed
• Ensure all service orders are completed within the agreed upon time frame and meet high-quality standards
• Oversee inventory management and ordering of parts and supplies
• Monitor and analyze department performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions to increase efficiency and profitability
• Develop and implement service policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
• Collaborate with the sales department to upsell services and generate additional revenue
• Handle customer complaints and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements, and make recommendations for improvements to service offerings
• Conduct regular meetings with service staff to review performance, set goals, and provide feedback
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment, ensuring all safety protocols are followed

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Automotive Technology or related field (preferred)
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in automotive service, with at least 2 years in a managerial role
• Strong knowledge of automotive systems, parts, and repairs
• Excellent leadership and communication skills
• Proven track record of managing a team and achieving departmental goals
• Ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Proficient in using computer software and systems, including MS Office and dealership management systems
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Customer-focused with a strong commitment to providing exceptional service
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings as needed.
