Job Title: Freight Delivery Coordinator

Overview: We are currently seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Freight Delivery Coordinator to join our dynamic logistics team. As a Freight Delivery Coordinator, you will be responsible for coordinating the delivery of freight shipments to customers while ensuring the timely and efficient movement of goods. You will work closely with carriers, warehouse staff, and customers to ensure that all deliveries are made on time and in compliance with company standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and schedule the delivery of freight shipments to customers in a timely and efficient manner.
• Communicate with carriers to ensure the availability and readiness of trucks for pickup and delivery.
• Track and monitor all shipments to ensure on-time delivery and mitigate any potential delays.
• Work closely with warehouse staff to ensure accurate and timely loading of trucks.
• Communicate with customers regarding delivery schedules, delays, and any other shipment-related issues.
• Provide excellent customer service by promptly addressing any customer inquiries or concerns.
• Ensure all documentation, including bills of lading and delivery receipts, are accurate and completed in a timely manner.
• Monitor and manage delivery costs to ensure budget compliance.
• Identify and resolve any delivery issues or discrepancies to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Maintain and update delivery schedules and records in our internal systems.
• Collaborate with other departments, including sales and operations, to ensure smooth delivery operations.
• Continuously evaluate and improve delivery processes and procedures to increase efficiency and reduce costs.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.
• 2-3 years of experience in a similar role within the logistics industry.
• Strong knowledge of freight delivery processes and procedures.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proven ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Proficient in using logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and compliance.
• Attention to detail and a focus on accuracy.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, when needed.
