Job Title: Metal Fabricator

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Metal Fabricator to join our team. As a Metal Fabricator, you will be responsible for creating and repairing metal structures and products using various tools and techniques. The ideal candidate will have a strong eye for detail, excellent hand-eye coordination, and the ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Fabricate and assemble metal structures and products according to specifications and blueprints.
• Operate a variety of tools, including saws, grinders, drills, and welding equipment to cut, shape, and join metal pieces.
• Measure, mark, and layout materials to be cut or bent to ensure accuracy.
• Use hand and power tools to smooth and finish surfaces of completed products.
• Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy, making any necessary adjustments or repairs.
• Weld, solder, and braze metal parts using different techniques and equipment.
• Communicate effectively with team members to ensure projects are completed on time and to the desired specifications.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote a safe and efficient work environment.
• Keep track of inventory and order necessary materials to complete projects.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent. Technical training or relevant certification in metal fabrication is preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in metal fabrication.
• Strong knowledge of different types of metal and their properties.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.
• Skilled in operating a variety of hand and power tools.
• Experience with welding, soldering, and brazing techniques.
• Excellent mathematical skills and ability to accurately measure and cut materials.
• Physically fit and able to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication and time management skills.
