Job Overview: As a Security Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the security of our company's systems, networks, and data. This includes identifying potential threats, implementing security measures, and monitoring for any security breaches. You will work closely with the IT team and other departments to ensure that all security protocols are followed and that the company's sensitive information remains protected at all times.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct regular security audits to identify potential vulnerabilities and recommend necessary improvements
• Implement and maintain security policies, procedures, and controls to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of company data
• Monitor systems and networks for any security breaches and promptly respond to any incidents
• Collaborate with the IT team to ensure that all systems and networks are up-to-date with the latest security patches and updates
• Conduct security awareness training for employees to ensure they are aware of potential security risks
• Stay up-to-date with the latest security trends and technologies and make recommendations for improvement
• Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans
• Conduct risk assessments and provide recommendations for risk mitigation
• Investigate security incidents and provide detailed reports to management
• Develop and maintain relationships with external security vendors and partners

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• 3+ years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the Law Enforcement industry
• Strong understanding of security principles, standards, and best practices
• Excellent knowledge of firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and other security technologies
• Experience with vulnerability assessment and penetration testing
• Familiarity with security frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, and GDPR
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CEH are a plus
