Job Title: Admissions Counselor

Position Overview: We are currently seeking an experienced and dynamic Admissions Counselor to join our team. As an Admissions Counselor, you will play a crucial role in recruiting and admitting qualified students to our institution. You will be responsible for providing guidance and support to prospective students throughout the admissions process, from initial inquiry to enrollment. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as a strong understanding of the higher education industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Respond to inquiries from prospective students through various communication channels, including phone, email, and social media.
• Conduct informational sessions and campus tours to showcase our institution and its programs to prospective students and their families.
• Review and evaluate applications and supporting materials to determine eligibility and make admissions decisions.
• Build and maintain relationships with high school counselors, community organizations, and other key partners to promote our institution and attract qualified students.
• Collaborate with other admissions counselors and departments to develop and implement recruitment strategies.
• Attend college fairs, high school visits, and other events to represent our institution and engage with prospective students.
• Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in admissions to continuously improve recruitment efforts and processes.
• Maintain accurate records and data related to recruitment and admissions activities.
• Provide excellent customer service and support to prospective students and their families throughout the admissions process.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in education, counseling, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in admissions, preferably in a higher education setting.
• Strong understanding of the admissions process and requirements for both undergraduate and graduate programs.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to engage and connect with a diverse range of individuals, including students, parents, and high school counselors.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience working with CRM systems.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
