Job Title: Network Security Specialist

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Network Security Specialist to join our dynamic team. As a Network Security Specialist, you will be responsible for protecting our organization's computer networks and systems from potential cyber threats. You will be responsible for implementing security measures and monitoring network activity to ensure the safety and integrity of our network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in network security, excellent problem-solving skills, and a passion for staying up-to-date with the latest security trends and technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain network security systems, such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and virtual private networks (VPNs).
• Monitor network activity and perform regular security audits to identify potential vulnerabilities and breaches.
• Investigate security breaches and other cyber incidents, and develop strategies to prevent future attacks.
• Develop and implement security policies and procedures to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our network systems and data.
• Conduct regular security training for employees to increase awareness and understanding of security best practices.
• Collaborate with other teams to ensure security is integrated into the design, development, and deployment of new network systems and applications.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest security trends and technologies, and make recommendations for continuous improvement of our network security measures.
• Respond to security incidents and provide timely and accurate reports to management and other stakeholders.
• Manage relationships with vendors and other external partners to ensure our network security needs are met.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven work experience as a Network Security Specialist or a similar role.
• In-depth knowledge of network security protocols, such as IPsec, SSL, and SSH.
• Strong understanding of firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and other security tools.
• Experience with risk assessment, incident response, and vulnerability management.
• Familiarity with security frameworks, such as ISO 27001, NIST, or CIS.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CCNA Security are a plus.
