We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Fashion Buyer to join our team.
Position Overview: As a Fashion Buyer, you will be responsible for selecting and purchasing the best products to be sold in our stores. You will be in charge of creating and maintaining relationships with suppliers, negotiating prices, and staying up-to-date with the latest fashion trends. Your main goal will be to ensure that our company offers a diverse and appealing selection of products to our customers while maximizing profits.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct market research and analyze sales data to identify current and future trends
- Attend fashion shows, trade shows, and other industry events to stay updated on the latest styles and brands
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and negotiate favorable terms and prices
- Collaborate with the merchandising team to create a product assortment that aligns with our company's brand and target market
- Manage inventory levels and make purchasing decisions based on sales data and market trends
- Monitor and analyze sales performance and adjust buying strategies as needed
- Travel to various locations to meet with suppliers and attend buying appointments
- Analyze and report on competitors' products and prices
- Work closely with the marketing team to develop promotional strategies and campaigns for new products
- Collaborate with the visual merchandising team to create appealing product displays in stores
- Stay updated on industry laws and regulations related to product safety and labeling
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Fashion Merchandising, Business, or a related field
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Fashion Buyer in a retail or fashion company
- Strong knowledge of fashion trends, designers, and market dynamics
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Proven track record of successfully managing relationships with suppliers and achieving sales targets
- Ability to analyze sales data and make data-driven decisions
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other buying software
- Willingness to travel for buying appointments and industry events
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Passion for fashion and a strong understanding of our target market
