Job Title: Food Production Manager

Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Production Manager to join our dynamic team. As the Food Production Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire production process, ensuring that our company's food products are of the highest quality and are produced efficiently. You will play a critical role in managing our production team, maintaining quality control and meeting production targets.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement production plans and strategies to ensure efficient and timely production of food products
• Oversee the entire production process, including sourcing of raw materials, quality control, and packaging
• Ensure that production targets are met while maintaining high levels of quality and adhering to strict food safety standards
• Manage and train production staff, providing ongoing support, guidance, and feedback to ensure high levels of productivity and quality
• Monitor and analyze production data to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions to increase efficiency and reduce costs
• Collaborate with other departments, such as supply chain and sales, to ensure a smooth production process and meet customer demands
• Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of raw materials and negotiate cost-effective contracts
• Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations and maintain a safe and clean production environment
• Implement and maintain quality control measures to ensure that all food products meet company standards
• Continuously review and improve production processes to increase efficiency, reduce waste and improve product quality
• Stay updated with industry trends and developments to identify new opportunities for growth and improvement.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Production Management, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in food production, with at least 2 years in a managerial role
• Strong knowledge of food safety standards and regulations
• Proven experience in managing and motivating production teams to achieve targets and maintain high levels of productivity
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with different teams and departments
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and constantly changing environment
• Proficient in using production management software and MS Office Suite
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles is an asset.
