Responsibilities:

Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints to determine project specifications and welding requirements.
Set up, operate, and maintain welding equipment and tools.
Use various welding techniques, such as MIG, TIG, and Stick welding, to fuse metal components together.
Ensure the accuracy and precision of welds by following proper welding procedures and using appropriate measuring tools.
Inspect and troubleshoot welding equipment and perform necessary repairs or adjustments.
Monitor and maintain adequate levels of welding supplies and materials.
Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.
Collaborate with other team members and departments to ensure timely completion of projects.
Meet production quotas and deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards.

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in welding, preferably in steel fabrication.
In-depth knowledge of welding techniques, equipment, and materials.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
Proficient in using welding tools and equipment, such as grinders, torches, and clamps.
Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate and precise welds.
Physical strength and stamina to handle and manipulate heavy metal components.
Excellent hand-eye coordination and dexterity.
Basic math skills and ability to perform calculations.
Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
Valid welding certification is a plus.

This position requires standing for long periods, bending, and lifting heavy objects.
Must be able to work in indoor and outdoor environments, including extreme weather conditions.
May be exposed to loud noises and fumes from welding equipment.
Must adhere to all safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment.
