Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Municipal Operations Manager to oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of our municipal services. This role requires a highly organized and detail-oriented individual with strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of municipal operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in municipal management, excellent communication skills, and a passion for serving the community.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement strategies and initiatives to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of municipal operations.
• Oversee the management of all municipal service departments, including but not limited to waste management, water and sewer, parks and recreation, and public works.
• Manage and monitor department budgets, ensuring that all operations are in line with the approved budget.
• Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including municipal officials, community leaders, and residents.
• Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations related to municipal services.
• Hire, train, and supervise a team of department managers and staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
• Evaluate and implement new technologies and processes to improve operations and reduce costs.
• Develop and implement emergency response plans to ensure the safety of the community in case of natural disasters or other emergencies.
• Analyze data and metrics to identify areas for improvement and make data-driven decisions.
• Collaborate with other departments within the organization to ensure seamless coordination and delivery of services.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in municipal management or a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of municipal operations and regulations.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proven track record of managing budgets and achieving cost savings.
• Ability to effectively manage a team and foster a positive work culture.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Proficiency in data analysis and reporting.
• Knowledge of emergency response planning and procedures.
• Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
