Job Title: Ranch Manager

Overview: We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Ranch Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our ranch. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of agriculture, animal husbandry, and land management. As the Ranch Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving the ranch's profitability, ensuring the health and well-being of our livestock, and managing a team of ranch hands. This is a hands-on position that requires a strong leader with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all aspects of the ranch operations including crop production, livestock management, and land maintenance.
• Develop and implement strategic plans for the ranch to increase productivity and profitability.
• Manage and maintain the ranch's budget, ensuring all expenses are within budget and all revenues are accurately recorded.
• Hire, train, and supervise a team of ranch hands, providing guidance and support as needed.
• Develop and maintain relationships with vendors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure the smooth operation of the ranch.
• Monitor and maintain the health and well-being of our livestock, including providing necessary vaccinations, treatments, and nutrition.
• Ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory standards on the ranch.
• Oversee the maintenance and repair of ranch equipment and facilities.
• Keep accurate records of all ranch activities and prepare reports for management.
• Collaborate with other departments, such as marketing and sales, to develop and execute plans for the sale of ranch products.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in agriculture, animal science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in ranch management.
• Proven track record of successfully managing a ranch and increasing its profitability.
• In-depth knowledge of animal husbandry, crop production, and land management.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and ranch management software.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
