About the Role: We are seeking a highly motivated and passionate Conservation Specialist to join our team. As a Conservation Specialist, you will play a key role in protecting and preserving our natural resources and wildlife. You will work closely with various stakeholders, including government agencies, non-profit organizations, and local communities, to implement conservation strategies and initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct research and analysis on current environmental issues and trends to identify areas of conservation need.
• Develop and implement conservation plans and initiatives, in collaboration with stakeholders, to address identified issues and protect natural resources.
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of conservation programs and make recommendations for improvements.
• Collaborate with government agencies and non-profit organizations to obtain necessary permits and funding for conservation projects.
• Coordinate and lead community outreach and education programs to raise awareness about conservation efforts and engage the public in conservation activities.
• Conduct field work and data collection to assess the health and status of wildlife populations and their habitats.
• Use GIS and other tools to map and analyze data related to conservation efforts.
• Maintain accurate records and reports on conservation activities and outcomes.
• Stay up-to-date on relevant laws, regulations, and policies related to conservation and ensure compliance with these standards.
• Represent the organization at conferences, workshops, and other events to promote conservation efforts and build partnerships.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Biology, Conservation, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in conservation, environmental management, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of conservation principles, practices, and techniques.
• Experience in project management, including planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively communicate complex information to diverse audiences.
• Proficiency in using GIS and other relevant software for data analysis and mapping.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
• Passion for environmental conservation and a desire to make a positive impact on the natural world.
