Job Overview: As an Academic Advisor at Frostbridge University, you will play a crucial role in helping our students succeed academically. You will be responsible for providing guidance and support to students, helping them make informed decisions about their academic journey and ensuring they stay on track to achieve their goals. You will work closely with students, faculty, and staff to create a positive and nurturing learning environment that promotes academic success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide academic advising to students, including course selection, degree planning, and career guidance.
• Conduct regular meetings with students to assess their progress, address any concerns, and provide support and resources as needed.
• Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of degree programs, course requirements, and academic policies to effectively advise students.
• Collaborate with faculty and staff to identify and address students' academic needs and develop strategies to improve student success.
• Assist students in creating academic plans that align with their career goals and interests.
• Monitor students' academic progress and intervene when necessary to help them stay on track.
• Plan and implement academic workshops, seminars, and events to support students' academic success.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date student records and reports.
• Stay current on industry trends and developments in higher education to provide relevant and timely academic advice to students.
• Participate in recruitment and retention efforts to attract and retain students.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Counseling, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in academic advising or counseling.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong understanding of academic policies and procedures.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proven track record of successful student advising and retention.
• Proficient in MS Office and student information systems.
