Title: Telecommunications Specialist

Position Overview: As a Telecommunications Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring smooth and efficient communication within the organization. You will be responsible for the design, installation, maintenance, and support of all telecommunications systems and equipment, including phone systems, internet connectivity, and network infrastructure. Your expertise in telecommunications will be essential in keeping our organization connected and productive.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement telecommunications systems and networks to meet the organization's needs and requirements.
• Install, configure, and maintain all telecommunications equipment, including phone systems, routers, switches, and other network devices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to telecommunications systems and equipment, including network connectivity, call quality, and service disruptions.
• Conduct regular maintenance and updates to ensure the optimal performance of all telecommunications systems.
• Monitor network traffic and make necessary adjustments to optimize bandwidth usage and ensure network security.
• Collaborate with other IT team members and departments to ensure seamless integration and operation of telecommunications systems with other technology systems.
• Train staff members on the proper use of telecommunications equipment and systems.
• Maintain accurate documentation of all telecommunications systems, equipment, and network configurations.
• Stay current with industry trends and advancements in telecommunications technology and make recommendations for system improvements.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in designing, installing, and maintaining telecommunications systems and equipment.
• Strong knowledge of telecommunications protocols, such as TCP/IP, VoIP, SIP, and others.
• Experience with network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
• Familiarity with telecommunications systems, such as PBX, VoIP, and Unified Communications.
• Proficient in troubleshooting and resolving network and telecommunications issues.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with team members and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Certifications in Cisco or other relevant networking/telecommunications technologies are a plus.
