Key Responsibilities:

Designing and developing new textile products, including fabrics, yarns, and fibers
Conducting thorough research to stay updated on the latest textile trends and technologies
Collaborating with our production team to ensure that designs are technically feasible and can be manufactured within cost and time constraints
Creating prototypes and conducting testing to evaluate the performance and durability of new textile products
Analyzing and interpreting test results to make necessary adjustments and improvements to designs
Monitoring the production process and providing technical support to resolve any issues that may arise
Working with suppliers to source high-quality materials and negotiating prices to ensure cost-effectiveness
Ensuring that all textile products meet regulatory and safety standards
Keeping detailed records of design specifications, testing results, and production processes
Staying updated on industry advancements and incorporating new techniques and technologies into designs and production processes
Collaborating with marketing and sales teams to promote and market new textile products to potential customers

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Textile Engineering or a related field
Minimum of 3 years of experience in textile design and development
Strong knowledge of textile materials, production processes, and quality control procedures
Proficient in CAD software and other design tools
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams
Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously
In-depth understanding of industry regulations and safety standards
Excellent project management skills and ability to meet tight deadlines
Willingness to travel for sourcing materials and attending industry events
