Position: Student Success Coordinator
Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Student Success Coordinator to join our team. As a Student Success Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the academic and personal success of our students. You will work closely with students, faculty, and staff to provide resources, support, and guidance to help our students achieve their goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for students seeking support and resources
- Conduct academic and personal advising sessions with students to create personalized success plans
- Monitor and track students' academic progress, providing interventions and referrals as needed
- Collaborate with faculty and staff to identify and address student needs and concerns
- Develop and facilitate workshops and programs to enhance students' academic skills and personal development
- Assist with the recruitment and orientation of new students
- Maintain accurate and confidential student records
- Participate in departmental and institutional meetings and committees to improve student success initiatives
- Stay informed about current trends and best practices in student success and higher education
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in education, counseling, or related field
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in academic advising or student services
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities
- Empathetic and non-judgmental approach to working with students
- Knowledge of student development theories and best practices in higher education
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and student information systems
